Clos du Bois’ Sonoma Reserve Cab is a deep, ruby red wine with a mild flavor. Although it is a Cab, it also has some Merlot and Malbec, with hints of Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

This Alexander Valley wine also features grapes from Dry Creek and other California appellations.

A smooth wine, doesn’t have a particularly big flavor but it boosted a bit by it’s 14.5% alcohol content, and a nice lingering finish.

Not a bad wine for $19, but not one of our favorites.

Chad's Notes

Clos du Bois's Sonoma Reserve Cab wasn't bad. It's a little bit tart, has a hint of berry flavor, and was moderately dry.

Personally, I like my Cabs a little more robust than this one. It's not a bad wine for someone who likes something a little less rich.

Lynne's Notes

This wine grew on me as I drank it, but it definitely isn't one of my favorites. It had a mild fruit flavor, but it also had a stronger earthy aroma and taste to it that was a little more than I usually like.

Not a bad wine, although I probably wouldn't get this one again.
